Art was my brother-in-law as my wife, Robin, and his wife, Gloria are sisters. I have known ART for over 35 years and he always was giving of himself and unselfish. He would be available to fix our kitchen lights whenever, there was a problem with the fixtures due to faulty wiring. He fixed plumbing problems with sinks. He was always there to fix our computers whenever, I caused a hardware problem which to my wife seemed unrepairable. Even two months ago, Art talked me through a computer repair registry problem. I especially enjoyed watching football games with him as he rooted for his Redskins and I for my Eagles. I enjoyed his love of making caesar salads from scratch in his house or our house . I enjoyed going to Acropolis ( his favorite restaurant) with him and Gloria . I will miss him - a loving him -- a loving father, grandfather, brother- in- law and close friend . Art was more like a brother than a brother in law to me and I will miss him greatly. He added such warmth and happiness to our family, and his optimism was such an inspiration to al of us during his long illness. I know his legacy will continue in his children and grandchildren, and the compassion and altruism that he shared with all of us will keep his memory alive. May he rest in peace. Gloria. family and friends:
I am so deeply saddened to hear of ART's passing. To see one's life come to closure contains mixed feelings; pain for the absence in our lives but relief in knowing he suffers no more.
I am thankful to have met ART and GLORIA during an open house at Stratford University. Little did i know that was just the beginning of a fun. loving, crazy and adventurous friendship.
Art was a a kind, intelligent, fun and grounded indivdual you couldn't help but love. Art was open minded. Art handled challenges wth zest and enjoyed life's travels and adventures.
Art and Gloria opened up their homes and extended their hearts to me by allowing me to share their love of family and friends at many a Shabbat dinner, birthdays and so many events.
I will miss ART. He was a man of many talents: a renaissance man. I know the Goldman family bond can endure whatever ties before them. as it was ART who provided by building their strong foundation. May God bless and keep you always.

Dear all'
What a sorrow! Im' so glad you had time with him to celebrate the life you all created together.
We met when i was sixteen and he was a friend of a friend of Gloria.. I was so impressed with his sweetness and intelligence, and later , when they got together, with his openness to all her friends and his sense of adventure. He leaves an enormous emptiness. I hope the memories can sustain you through this time of grief.

I have the advantage of selective memory. i can choose to remember only the good times. The children's Bat Mitzvah, Michele and Jon's wedding; and Several memorable Shabbat dinners. Art was equally bright and charming. In my travels. i have never met a more supportive and loving spouse. His childrens' successes will always be a tribute to the man.
One special memory: I remember the time when I finally realized that I should stop asking for details fo his work!!!.

Words can never express the sorrow at these times. I am so sorry to hear of Art's passing because I know how hard Gloria was fighting to find a cure that woud restore his health and relieve his pain.
Thank God, you had all these wonderful years together, knowing that were loved, celebrating your love and family. you had the opportunity to renew your vows and do all that wonderful travel. That what joyful memories are made of. Thank God, you were able to share marriages, engagements and births and wonderful Shabbaths together. good foods and friends.
I really did not know ART well but he was central to this family, and even helped Gloria with her Chocolate fountain engagements. Thats devotion!
And a testimony to their closeness, finding joy in just being together. Rest in peace ART, and thanks for fighting and enduringt all those months. Your beloved family will keep your memory alive in everything they do. Gloria and the kids, I wish you strength and peace. I know you will celebrate Arr's life and live for days and months and years to come.
